EcoCommons notebooks currently support a range of environmental models and learn about geo/ecological data science skills. The platform is continually evolving, with the EcoCommons team actively developing new notebooks to expand the range of available models and analytical methods.
In addition to modeling, EcoCommons notebooks cover the entire workflow of ecological analysis, including:
Data Preparation – Importing, cleaning, and formatting environmental and species data from various sources (e.g., CSV, raster, shapefiles).
Visualisation – Creating maps, plots, and statistical summaries to explore data patterns and model outputs.
Modeling – Running SDMs, GLMs, and other statistical or machine learning models to analyse species distribution and environmental drivers.
If you have specific research needs or require a custom environmental or ecological analysis, the EcoCommons team welcomes collaboration. Please use the GitHub workflow to request new features.
